What This Is

 

Yoga Therapy for Pain Management is an integrative, embodied program designed for people living with acute or chronic pain. 

It’s more than stretching - it’s about restoring alignment, calming the nervous system, and building tools so you can live more fully, with less discomfort. 

Whether you’re dealing with back pain, joint pain, neuropathy, or another pain condition, this series helps you reclaim agency and body awareness.


  Chronic pain can impact every aspect of life, making even the simplest tasks feel overwhelming. Whether you're dealing with general pain, arthritis, or joint discomfort, yoga therapy provides a holistic, evidence-based approach to finding relief.   


You can join single workshops, seasonal cycles, or commit for a full annual journey for deeper transformation.

Core Approach


  • Whole-body awareness and alignment, instead of symptom masking
  • Gentle yet functional yoga-therapy movement 
  • Movement as medicine: see how it acts as a natural analgesic by releasing endorphins and rewiring pain pathways
  • Breath awareness for pain relief: specific practices to calm the nervous system, increase oxygen flow, and soften the intensity of pain sensations
  • Meditation tools for deeper release, including guided meditations, Yoga Nidra for nervous system reset, and Trataka (candle gazing) for mental focus and relaxation
  • Practical tools you can use daily such as yogic techniques, self-care, and movement habits 

Holistic Alignment

 Season - Theme - Workshop Focus

Each season highlights a different layer of pain symptom management:


Spring – Renew & Move: Awakening mobility and flexibility with gentle sequences, hip and back release, spinal flow, and breath awareness.


Summer – Strength & Flow: Building capacity and resilience through functional strength, balance, core stability, and mindful movement.


Fall – Align & Restore: Exploring postural awareness, functional alignment, fascia wellness, and restorative practices.


Winter – Rest & Reconnect: Prioritizing deep healing through restorative postures, guided meditation, Yoga Nidra, and breath-centered practices for relaxation. 

Workshop Structure

 Each workshop (~120 minutes) includes:


Education (~20 minutes) covering pain science, fascia, alignment, nervous system regulation, and the role of movement and breath as natural pain relievers/analgesics. 


Embodied Practice (45–60 minutes) with tailored yoga therapy, functional movement, mindful breathwork, and meditation techniques


Integration Circle (15+ minutes) for sharing, Q&A, and reflection


Take-Home Toolkit practice videos, guided meditations, journal prompts, and simple daily routines. 

Seasonal Wellness

 This program is a good fit if you:

  • How posture, core, hips, and spinal alignment contribute to discomfort or comfort
  • Safe movement awareness and functional practices that reduce flare-ups; use movement as a natural analgesic
  • Breath and nervous system tools to regulate pain sensitivity and reduce stress response
  • Meditation practices such as guided meditation, yoga nidra, and trataka to calm the mind and relieve sensations of pain
  • Restorative yoga therapy postures, gentle movement, and fascia release techniques
  • Practical self-care routines for daily life, including habit building and pacing strategies

Workshop Flow

  • Pain is influenced by more than tissue; this program addresses nervous system regulation, movement patterns, posture, and lifestyle.
  • Movement and breath awareness retrain the brain’s pain response, reducing both the intensity and frequency of discomfort.
  • Meditation practices shift the nervous system into healing states and help untangle the emotional and mental stress that often amplifies physical pain.
  • The approach emphasizes gentle progression and individualized support.
  • Workshops include both live guidance and digital resources so you can revisit practices at your own pace.
